A: Your son obviously has great imaginative play skills, it sounds
like he understands the concept of same and can match identical
pictures, however that he is just not interested in this activity at
the moment.
He may also be bored with the activity and ready for something
more challenging. Introduce matching, selecting and labelling
letters or words, but ensure the activity only goes for a minute or
two. Over a period of time, he will gradually be able to concentrate
for longer periods of time and the games can go for a bit longer.
